Westchester County is a bedroom community of NYC but has found its own personality. I would love it if you would do a posting of White Plains NY The city near NYC. We are an easy 30 min commute to NYC - Great to live here and work or play in NYC.

It's green - lots of trees - homes start around $500,000 a little below the average price of a 1 BR Condo in NYC. A co-op starts around $150,000 for a 1 BR and condos start around $300,000. You need to be able to walk to the railroad or have a car here. The schools have won awards and Westchester has some of the best school districts in the nation.

We have 3 train lines in Westchester county that go in to the city and six highways/parkways. It is easy to park in NYC after 7:00 pm, but you need to be able to read the signs. There are great hiking trails and parks throughout Westchester.

We have great shopping in this town, Bloomingdales, Nordstroms, Barnes and Noble, Neimann Marcus, Cheesecake Factory, Macy's, Sears, Tiffany's, William Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, Brooks Brothers,. La Coste, Tommy Hilfiger,

Bombay company.

The Westchester Mall has most of the great shopping but we have a vibrant downtown with a Galleria Mall - Bloomingdales is Freestanding. Walmart should be open soon. Target is already here.

We are the county seat of Westchester and we are 10 Minutes from Greenwich Connecticut.
