Hesitating at first, Joni eventually puts in a call to the sperm bank, who puts her in touch with Paul, a restaurant owner and all around "cool dude" who seems willing to meet the kids he never knew he had. ABOUT Crape Myrtle Festival (CMF) – The Organization
Summer of 1981. The AIDS epidemic begins. Seven friends gather for a party that would become an annual event and eventually the largest HIV / AIDS fundraising organization in the Southeastern USA. Named after the flowering tree commonly called Crape Myrtle that is planted prolifically throughout the southern part of the USA, which blooms in high heat and high humidity of our summer months, CMF has raised over $1, 000, 000 for the organizations it supports, creating awareness and inspiring hope for individuals throughout the GLBT community. Like the flowering plant that that is it’s namesake, CMF has thrived in an oppressive environment and emerged as one of the leading HIV / AIDS fundraising organizations in the country. The success of the community programs that CMF supports depends heavily on CMF’s volunteers and generous contributors.

PLEASE do all you can to help support CMF and especially during the Crape Myrtle 30 Festival in Raleigh. CMF Thanks You For Your Support.
